At the start of your first session typically coach and player will have a discussion about why you want to take part in a 1-2-1. This process usually takes about ten minutes – our coaches will then ask you to carry out a series of warm-up exercises before they start working on the specific area of your game.
During this process the coach will take mental notes whilst observing your performances. At the end of the session the coach and player will set down and discuss his/her findings.
The coach will also outline a list of small specific attainable goals for the player to think about ahead of the following session. The second session will be more physical and tailored towards those goals, with a verbal review at the end of each session. This will enable the player to ask any questions and suggestion. With the aim being to develop an open and trusting relationship between player and coach.
To ensure your son or daughter gains the most value out of these 1-2-1’s. We would recommend a minimum of four sessions before improvement is quantifiable.
